Building a
Promising Future

Our Pillars

The @Promise Youth Initiative is built on three core pillars: prevention, intervention, and diversion—together, they shape what we call “The @Promise Difference.” Unlike many youth programs, we take a holistic approach, proactively addressing challenges before they arise, offering support when intervention is needed, and guiding youth away from negative influences. By partnering with over 30 youth support agencies and bringing them together under one roof, we create a powerful, integrated network of resources. This comprehensive strategy ensures every young person receives personalized support at the right time, empowering them with the skills, resources, and confidence to build brighter, more promising futures. @Promise is the one-stop shop for youth support.

Diversion

The diversion pillar focuses on redirecting young people from the juvenile justice system toward constructive paths. By offering alternatives like mentorship, educational support, and community engagement, we empower youth to overcome challenges without a record.

Intervention

The intervention pillar is designed to support youth who are at a higher risk of involvement in the juvenile justice system. By providing targeted services such as
counselling, mentorship, and personalized case management, we address the unique needs and circumstances of each
young person.

Prevention

The prevention pillar focuses on empowering young people with the skills and resources they need to avoid risky behaviors and stay on a positive path. Through enrichment activities, educational support, and community engagement, we equip youth to make informed decisions and build resilience.

Our Locations

The Atlanta Police Foundation strategically selects @Promise Center locations by analyzing data on crime patterns involving youth ages 12-24. By pinpointing neighborhoods with high rates of youth involvement in crime, we can identify areas most in need of intervention.

Our approach is to place @Promise Centers directly in the heart of these communities, creating accessible spaces that serve as safe havens and hubs for positive engagement. This data-driven approach enables us to address the root causes of youth crime, offering solutions that promote safety and promising futures for both young people and the surrounding neighborhoods.
